Last Sunday hubby went to do some grocery without me. Our nieces were here, so they followed and of course came back with bags of junk food and soft drinks. Speaking of Soft Drinks, think I should throw away the bottle of Ribena in the Fridge, since its already expired and my niece still drinking it. Lucky nothing happen, but I give them a go that its fine to drink it coz the life span can be extended to another 6 months, I was told by my ex- Japanese boss.
Ops back to the topic. They saw a booth set up at the outdoor parking area of Tesco, Mutiara Damansara. It’s actually Dulux Paint Bank to help the Earth Stay Green.
Without hesitation, hubby decided to go home and gather tins of paint, kept for years. When I’m back home, in fact I was out the whole afternoon, I saw 2 boxes of AK A4 Paper box containing the paint and we went to Tesco. Lucky when we reached Tesco maybe around 8pm+, their booth is still there ( they actually started to pack up). We were greeted with smiles, and the volunteers were so happy to receive tins of paint we brought over!
Here’s the tins of paint we donated for proper recycling.
As a gesture of thanks, we received this souvenir! Another recycle bag… but thats not the point why we donate the paints .. we are actually doing our part too to save the Earth and we didn’t know what to do with the leftover paint.
We have done our part and participated in this drive how bout you? You must be thinking you want to do the same and start to gather those unwanted paint right? Actually the booth is only there for three days from 11-13th June only for Klang Valley Area.
Maybe you really want to donate the paint, and fanatic enough to drive out-of-town, you may log on to www.duluxpaintbank.org to find out where is the next location of the Paint Bank will be.
I’m also doing my part of spreading the words around here.. (so noble).
If you have second thought already (So crazily noble to drive out-of-town to donate leftover pain), you may also want to consider volunteer as painter?? Go to www.duluxpaintbank.org to register ya!
